Meeting at our hotel in Strasbourg. A briefing by your tour guide in the evening and optional dinner afterwards. Overnight in Strasbourg.
Today we will visit Colmar. Our exploration will begin with a guided visit of beautiful Colmar which is the capital of the Alsacian wines. It is located between the Vosges and the Rhine, Strasbourg, and Mulhouse. With its 1000 years of European history Colmar is famous for its vineyards, traditional houses, canals, flowers, cuisine, wines. From there, travel to the small villages that line the wine route before arriving in Riquewihr which is a romantic tiny medieval city, hidden amidst the Vosges mountains and some famous vineyards, just 7 miles away from Colmar and minutes from other famous Alsatian villages like Ribeauvillé, Hunawihr, Eguisheim or Kaysersberg. Then we are having a walking tour and giving some free time for lunch and ending the day with the visit of the impressive “Haut-Koenigsbourg” castle. In the end, return to Strasbourg.

Today’s full day tour is totally for the white wines of Alsace. We will follow the legendary Alsace wine route and taste some of the most prestigious “Grands Crus” wines that are delicately crafted by passionate winemakers. The Alsace Wine Route played a big role in the promotion of Alsace Wines for the past 60 years. The most famous Wine Route in France starts to show itself slowly its medieval châteaux and Renaissance homes and the elegant lanes of its charming villages. A land of tradition and wine, offering a unique experience for the visitor. It has officially been established as a tourist route in 1953. We will discover the region and its wine producers, motoring through sloping valleys along the foothills of the Vosges, crossing beautiful valleys and meeting great winemakers. The whole range of Alsace wines will be tasted, including Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sparkling Crémant, Sylvaner, and many more. Stops will be made along the wine route, and a total of 3 commented wine tasting sessions are included. Overnight in Strasbourg.
